Laredo native Daniella Rodriguez, who is engaged to Astros shortstop Carlos Correa, headed to an upscale Houston restaurant on Tuesday night for a special occasion.
The 22-year-old invited close friends Noel Gonzalez, who is married to free agent Marwin Gonzalez, and Kara McCullers, wife of Astros pitcher Lance McCullers, Jr., for dinner and asked the two to be bridesmaids at her wedding.

The future Mrs. Carlos Correa marked the occasion with an Instagram post that reads, “The group is now complete #Bridesmaids.”
The cheerful group lingered at the Houston eatery La Griglia, part of Rockets owner Tilman Fertitta’s restaurant empire, for two and a half hours.
December bride: Carlos Correa and Daniella Rodriguez set wedding date
“Ms. Rodriguez arrived first and was very friendly. She was polite and waited for her friends to arrive. She did not want to order without them,” general manager Rich Parrott tells the Chron.com. “We have a delicious bread basket but I don’t think they touched it,” he adds.
Both wedding and holiday bells will ring when the former Miss Texas marries Correa. The bride-to-be’s mother, Martha Rodriguez, announced the couple’s wedding date in an interview with local news station ABC13 in October.
