This is one of those weeks in Houston where it’s hot, but Houstonians should be thankful it’s not hotter.
A cold front (in name only) pushed its way through Texas on Sunday, bringing high temperatures into the low 90s for much of the Houston area. These more pleasant temperatures come after a heat advisory Sunday afternoon when heat indices across Southeast Texas were close to 110 degrees, according to the National Weather Services.
Lows overnight will dip down to the low 70s all week until Friday night, when the projected low is 77 degrees. Houston skies will be mostly sunny during the day, according to NWS.
Temperatures will keep that trend until the weekend, when there’s a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms on Saturday and Sunday.
