An armed robbery led to an officer-involved shooting at a CVS pharmacy in Franklinton this morning, according to Columbus police.
Officers responded to the robbery call at the CVS at 1515 W. Broad Street at 8:04 a.m.
When police arrived at the scene, an officer attempted to keep the suspect from entering a vehicle and fired a shot, hitting the man, police said.
The man entered his vehicle and drove away, causing a crash at Interstate 270 and W. Broad Street before being stopped a short distance away, police said.
The suspect was arrested and transported to OhioHealth Grant Medical Center in stable condition, police said.
Witnesses told police that the man held up a pharmacist and demanded drugs.
The identity of the suspect was not immediately available.
