The search for a missing Columbus teenager who disappeared Tuesday afternoon along the Kokosing River will resume Wednesday morning, the Knox County sheriff’s department said Tuesday night.

The sheriff’s department responded at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday to the Honey Run Park near Howard, Ohio, on the report of a missing teenager.

Knox County Sheriff Dave Shaffer told WBNS-TV (Channel 10) that the missing 15-year-old male was from Columbus. The boy’s name was not released.

Sheriff’s deputies and local fire crews from eastern Knox County spent five hours searching the river Tuesday before suspending operations after nightfall.

Honey Run Park is known for its waterfall on the Kokosing River.
